Presentation of the IMAS II Knowledge Boxes

On 11 March 2021, the Multiplier Event of the Erasmus+ project IMAS II, organised by Chance B and the University of Graz, took place. We were pleased to welcome numerous participants from various fields to this successful event. Besides representatives from politics and the education sector as well as learning and support assistants from different social service providers in Styria, representatives from the University of Graz, the University College of Teacher Education Styria and the University of participated in this event. All of these participants enriched the event with their expertise and contributions.

The project IMAS II has been designed to address the national and international need of a specific training for learning and support assistants by developing and evaluating five web-based Knowledge Boxes. The aim of these Knowledge Boxes is to provide learning and support assistants with knowledge on relevant topics of assistants’ daily work and to strengthen them in their inclusive competences.

Within the small workshops organised to different topics, the five Knowledge Boxes were presented and discussed with the participants and relevant stakeholders. The Knowledge Boxes contain theoretical information, practical examples and a variety of practical material. All participants showed great interest and they expressed very positive feedback to the materials. In addition, the participants discussed and reflected on possibilities to ensure the accessibility and implementation of the Knowledge Boxes for learning and support assistants and social services providers as, for example an internal training opportunity.
