RCIE

Begin of page section: Contents:

The Research Center for Inclusive Education (RCIE) is a cooperation between three higher educational institutions in Styria, Austria - the University of Graz (Uni Graz), the University College of Teacher Education Styria (PHSt) and the Private University College of Teacher Education Augustinum (PPH Augustinum).

The main goal of the RCIE is to bundle the research expertise and competences of these three institutions in order to cooperate in national and international research projects on inclusive and digital education. Additionally, the center aims to support young scientists in their empirical research activities and professional development in this field.

The center will therefore not only increase the visibility of research activities in this area but also contribute to the further development of an inclusive educational system based on empirical research findings.

A “Digital Lab for Inclusion” will be an integrative part of the RCIE. This lab will serve as a research and experimental field for schools, colleges and universities. Different methods and tools for inclusive and digital teaching and learning will be developed there.

The main target groups of the center are researchers, teachers and organizations in the field of inclusion as well as individuals interested in inclusion and diversity. Inclusion refers here to all dimensions of heterogeneity with a special focus on intersectionality.
