LebensGroß Research Award for Inclusion 2025

Preisträger:innen des LebensGroß Forschungspreises für Inklusion 2025

Since 2018, outstanding master’s and doctoral theses dedicated to the topic of inclusion have been honored with a research award by the association Lebenshilfe Graz und Umgebung – Voitsberg. The awarding of the nominated theses takes place within the framework of the annual Graz Forum Inclusion, organized by the Department of Inclusive Education and Special Needs Psychology.

We are pleased to briefly introduce the winners of the LebensGroß Research Award 2025:

1st Prize (Dissertation): Matthäus Uitz (University of Vienna)
„Erwachsenenschutz im Gesellschaftsrecht – Gesetzliche Rahmenbedingungen und privatautonome Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten im Lichte des 2. Erwachsenenschutz-Gesetzes unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von Personengesellschaften“

1st Prize (Master’s Thesis): David Mischak (Graz University of Technology)
“Context-Based Image Accessibility for Blind People Using Large Language Models”

2nd Prize (Master’s Thesis): Alice Schmidl (FH Joanneum)
„Inklusives Wohnen: Das Donaukurier Verlagshaus als Wohnstätte für Alle“

2nd Prize (Master’s Thesis): Karin Steiner-Krottmayer (University of Graz)
„Studieren mit Autismus-Spektrums-Störung an der Technischen Universität Graz. Eine qualitative Erhebung von didaktischen und informellen Unterstützungsmaßnahmen“
